Lead Generation Specialist - Driver Recruiter

Vista Trans is seeking a Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and hire CDL drivers. The role emphasizes building candidate pipelines, coordinating interviews, and ensuring DOT compliance. This onsite position is based in Huntley, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify qualified CDL driver candidates via job boards, social networks, referrals, and industry platforms
• Build and sustain a robust pipeline of CDL driver candidates
• Create, publish, and manage driver job postings to attract top talent
• Review applications to evaluate licenses, experience, and endorsements
• Perform phone screenings and pre-qualify applicants
• Verify CDL licenses, driving records, and required credentials
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations to understand hiring needs
• Arrange interviews and coordinate subsequent steps in the hiring process
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the process
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with DOT regulations and company standards
• Maintain accurate records of candidates, hiring activity, and driver documentation

Requirements

• Prior recruiting experience, preferably in trucking or logistics
• Knowledge of CDL requirements and DOT regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to evaluate candidates and provide sound hiring recommendations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms
• Experience using social media and online sourcing tools
