Job Description

Vista Trans is expanding its driver team in Huntley, IL and is hiring a Driver Recruiter to help source and hire qualified CDL drivers. This role is onsite and fast-paced, with a clear focus on recruiting, screening, and coordinating the hiring process while staying in compliance with DOT regulations.

What you’ll do

Actively source qualified CDL drivers through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry platforms
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of driver candidates
Post and manage job listings to attract top talent
Review applications to assess qualifications, experience, and endorsements
Conduct phone screenings and pre-qualify candidates
Verify CDL licenses, driving records, and required credentials
Partner with dispatch and operations to understand hiring needs
Schedule interviews and coordinate next steps in the hiring process
Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process
Ensure recruiting activities comply with DOT regulations and company standards
Maintain accurate records of candidates, hiring activity, and driver documentation

What you bring

1+ year of experience
Previous recruiting experience, with trucking or logistics preferred
Knowledge of CDL requirements and DOT regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to evaluate candidates and make sound hiring recommendations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms
Experience using social media and online sourcing tools
Ability to reliably commute to Huntley, IL on a Monday-to-Friday schedule

Compensation and location

Location: In person, Huntley, IL

Pay: $50,000 - $90,000 per year
