Human Resources Recruiter

Transpo Bus Services is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Recruiter to support its growing transportation operations in Rochester, NY. This onsite role focuses on attracting qualified drivers and monitors, managing the full recruitment lifecycle, and building strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure a steady stream of skilled candidates.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across various roles, specifically drivers and monitors.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate fit.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Conduct and follow up on multiple background checks.
• Maintain accurate candidate records using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Provide administrative support and data entry of information.
• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Support overall HR administrative functions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in recruiting within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging candidates and managing relationships effectively.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms and HRIS systems like Paychex.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices across all levels of the organization.

Compensation

Pay rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (USD)

Education & Experience

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: Recruiting – 2 years (Required); Human Resources – 1 year (Required).
