HR Specialist - Recruiter

The HR Specialist - Recruiter role at Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is focused on attracting and hiring strong talent while guiding candidates through a clear, consistent experience. This onsite position in Cincinnati, OH supports the full recruiting lifecycle, maintains accuracy in HR and ATS systems, and contributes to onboarding and ongoing HR initiatives.

Role Overview

This position manages end-to-end recruiting activities, including building talent pipelines and supporting onboarding. The HR Specialist - Recruiter works to ensure recruiting operations run smoothly while keeping ATS/HR systems organized, accurate, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify strong candidates using job boards, networking, referrals, social media, and creative sourcing strategies.
• Oversee the full hiring process, from posting roles and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers.
• Collaborate with managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies that align with those needs.
• Create a positive candidate experience that helps applicants feel informed and valued throughout the process.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for both current and future hiring needs.
• Track recruiting metrics and support continuous improvement across the hiring process.
• Support onboarding and other HR initiatives to help new team members get started effectively.
• Maintain well-organized and current ATS and HR systems to support recruiting and HR operations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting and/or HR experience.
• Comfortable speaking with people and building professional relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple openings, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Experience using an ATS and HRIS, as well as LinkedIn and other recruiting tools.
• Understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive approach, and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving mindset with creative approaches to talent attraction.
