Driver Recruiter
Job Description
Vista Trans is seeking a remote Driver Recruiter to attract CDL drivers, build a robust candidate pipeline, and coordinate with dispatch while ensuring DOT compliance.
Responsibilities
- Proactively source qualified CDL drivers using job boards, social networks, referrals, and industry platforms
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of driver candidates
- Create, post, and manage driver job listings to attract top talent
- Review applications to assess qualifications, experience, and endorsements
- Conduct phone screenings and pre-qualify candidates
- Verify CDL licenses, driving records, and required credentials
- Collaborate with dispatch and operations to understand hiring needs
- Schedule interviews and coordinate next steps in the hiring process
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process
- Ensure all recruiting activities comply with DOT regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate records of candidates, hiring activity, and driver documentation
Requirements
- Prior recruiting experience, preferably in trucking or logistics
- Knowledge of CDL requirements and DOT regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to evaluate candidates and provide sound hiring recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms
- Experience using social media and online sourcing tools
