Driver Recruiter
Job Description
Driver Recruiter position in Columbus, OH onsite with RoadOne IntermodaLogistics.
Responsibilities
- Promote RoadOne as an employer to prospective independent contractors
- Gain familiarity with service areas, client needs, and capacity requirements
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Area Directors and Service Center leadership
- Create location specific recruiting strategies with Service Center Managers
- Report on recruiting and retention performance for each Service Center
- Assess capacity gaps and design effective recruiting campaigns
- Screen incoming candidates to verify minimum hiring qualifications
- Provide applicants with up to date information about the company and local operations
- Inform current drivers and applicants about RoadPerk programs
- Collect complete and accurate applications from qualified leads
- Log and manage lead data in OSCER, e-driver, TenStreet, or other tracking systems
- Arrange interviews with Service Center Managers
- Coordinate drug screenings, physicals, and truck inspections
- Organize new driver orientation and training for all new hires
- Lead orientation sessions where applicable
- Assist with onboarding paperwork as needed
- Support retention initiatives through follow up outreach
- Process changes, updates, cancellations, and transfers for current leases and truck insurance programs
- Manage Truck Insurance Program logistics
- Oversee Plate Program administration
- Administer IFTA Program operations
- Possess knowledge of Owner Operator programs to provide training and answer questions
- Maintain a ready supply of recruiting and retention handouts
- Direct drivers to the appropriate contact for contractor health insurance and other programs
- Present information at safety and operations meetings when requested
- Develop a knowledge base of all customers
- Analyze customer volume fluctuations and growth to anticipate capacity needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Bi-lingual in Spanish required
- Approximately 2 years of related experience or education preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and internet
- Familiarity with modern office practices and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make judgments
- Occasional travel
- Ability to travel and distribute flyers, curb signs, and other materials in strategic locations as needed

Job Details
