Job Description

This onsite Business Consultant role sits in Greenville County, SC, within the State of South Carolina’s Employment Services division. It focuses on connecting jobseekers with employers, marketing SC Works services to businesses, and supporting workforce development across multiple counties. The position involves travel and offers a salary range of USD 39,300 to 66,800 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Promote SC Works Center services by attending partner and community meetings and by participating on the Business Services Team.
  • Market SC Works services to employers, with a focus on Federal Contractors.
  • Participate as an engaged member of the Regional Business Service Team, collaborating with economic development and ReadySC on new projects.
  • Schedule recruitment and hiring events.
  • Meet with new businesses and maintain communication with existing businesses using the SC Works website.
  • Ensure employers receive qualified applicants by reviewing job orders and proofreading for accuracy and EO compliance.
  • Deliver timely, professional, and attentive customer service to employers.
  • Actively participate in local Business Services Teams and follow Business Services Certification Standards.
  • Share labor market information, information on tax incentive programs, WIOA, on-the-job training, and available services to align with employer needs.
  • Participate in trainings when offered.
  • Provide ongoing support to SC Works Centers and all Workforce programs.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in recruitment/selection, interviewing, or workforce development.
  • Overnight travel and routine driving required.
  • May require evenings and weekends.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Scheduled travel to Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Union counties.
