Talent Acquisition Specialist

At Siskin Steel & Supply Co, a Talent Acquisition Specialist works within the HR team to steer end-to-end recruiting for a multi-location operation. This role handles sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding, and the upkeep of the applicant tracking system across more than five locations, aiming to attract capable talent while maintaining rigorous hiring standards in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions across the organization.
• Create, post, and maintain job advertisements on Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other relevant recruiting platforms. Experience managing these platforms is required.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Monitor recruiting metrics and hiring trends to improve recruitment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and position qualifications.
• Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and video interviews.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Extend employment offers and facilitate candidate acceptance.
• Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruitment files.
• Facilitate new employee orientation programs.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure successful integration of new hires.
• Track completion of onboarding requirements and training assignments.
• Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information.
• Support HR initiatives and special projects as assigned by the HR Manager.
• Generate recruitment reports and provide hiring updates to management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
• Experience recruiting through Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other online sourcing platforms.
• Experience conducting virtual interviews and candidate screenings.
