Job Description

Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage day-to-day recruiting activities onsite. The role focuses on sourcing and presenting qualified candidates aligned with position profiles, maintaining a positive candidate experience, handling recruitment administration, and representing the organization at marketing and recruitment fairs to attract top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day recruiting processes
  • Source and present candidates aligned to the position profile
  • Manage the candidate experience
  • Process all recruitment-related administration within agreed timescales
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Attend marketing and recruitment fairs
  • Provide recommendations to recruit top talent
  • Administrative tasks, such as collecting references
  • Call center duties
  • Maintaining file records
  • Other assigned tasks
  • Use creative sourcing and recognized best practices to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for current and anticipated openings
  • Recruit via telephone, internet, e-mailings, social media and other effective avenues
  • Screen and pre-qualify resumes, apply applicable policy and union criteria, select appropriate applicants to move forward in the interview process
  • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, and interactions in the applicant tracking system
  • Serve as initial point of contact for HRConnection inquiries regarding ATS, recruitment process, job requirements, third-party vendors, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidates during the interview and offer process
  • Provide initial salary recommendations for candidates
  • Collect references on candidates
  • Track applicant and employee certification and licensure for compliance and follow-up with Business Partners
  • Attend career fairs and networking events
  • Maintain good relationships with team, candidates, employees and clients
  • Maintain relationships and contracts with third-party agencies/vendors
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team, including HRConnection phone lines and front desk coverage
  • Review Personnel Action Records to ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Assist in providing vacancy and recruitment reports for tracking purposes

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in related field (required)
  • PHR certification preferred
