Talent Acquisition Recruiting Specialist
Job Description
Lincoln Waste Solutions is hiring a Talent Acquisition Recruiting Specialist to support staffing growth through full-cycle recruiting. This onsite role in Windsor, CT (with the position also available in Toronto, Canada) focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and bringing forward candidates who meet role needs and support long-term business objectives.
The successful candidate will manage requisitions and hiring workflows end to end, working closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to standardize processes and improve recruiting efficiency. The role includes candidate engagement across a mix of active and passive channels, along with coordination through interviews, offers, and close.
Responsibilities
- Assess staffing needs, create job descriptions, source candidates, review resumes, and coordinate interviews through the hiring process.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand role requirements and ensure recruiting efforts align with company objectives.
- Source and engage active and passive talent using job boards, social media, networking events, and Boolean search techniques.
- Conduct preliminary phone or video interviews and evaluate candidates for qualifications and cultural fit.
- Provide qualified candidates to the hiring manager and hiring team with a structured, decision-ready presentation.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruiting events.
- Collaborate with department managers to clarify hiring needs, define role requirements, and support a structured interviewing process.
- Use an Applicant Tracking System to manage requisitions, track hiring metrics, and ensure compliance with EEOC and applicable employment laws.
- Present job offers, negotiate compensation, discuss benefits, and support closing candidates.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of full-life cycle recruiting experience.
- Working understanding of HR processes, talent acquisition trends, and relevant employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Analytical skills, including data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking systems and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.

Location: Windsor, CT (onsite). Alternative location: Toronto, Canada. Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year. Experience: minimum 2 years.
