Job Description

Sun Technologies is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to help shape the university talent pipeline for the Aeronautics sector. This onsite role in Palmdale, CA, functions as an Associate Talent Acquisition Business Partner within University Relations & Recruiting, overseeing full lifecycle campus recruiting and building enduring university partnerships, with travel up to 25%. You will collaborate with hiring managers and university partners to attract early career engineering talent and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage strategic connections with target universities and student organizations aligned to our needs
  • Foster long-term university partnerships across faculties, career services, and student groups
  • Design and implement campus recruitment plans to sustain an early career talent pipeline in engineering and related technologies
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with candidates across academic cycles
  • Screen, assess, and present qualified early career candidates aligned to defined hiring profiles
  • Partner with hiring managers to refine candidate criteria and selection approaches
  • Act as a strategic advisor on early career talent market trends and campus strategy
  • Lead planning and execution of campus events, networking sessions, and student engagement initiatives
  • Promote company culture, values, and mission to strengthen brand presence on campus
  • Ensure a seamless, high-quality candidate experience through effective communication and transparent processes
  • Leverage data insights to shape campus strategy aligned to business sustainability and affordability goals
  • Ensure adherence to recruiting policies, university guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for regional and site-specific early career and internship requisitions
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Sector UR&R teams to participate in university partnerships
  • Update candidate activity in the applicant tracking system to maintain data integrity
  • Develop and analyze UR&R metrics and implement process improvements that drive operating excellence
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including students, university partners, Hiring Managers, and leadership, with confidence and credibility

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of Talent Acquisition Recruiting / University Relations experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of Talent Acquisition Recruiting / University Relations experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Travel up to 25% is required
  • Based in Palmdale, CA or within a reasonable commuting distance

Pay Range

$30 - $32 per hour. The rate may differ based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
