Safety and Recruiting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end driver recruitment, including sourcing, screening, onboarding, and new-hire orientation
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance for driver records, drug and alcohol programs, and hours of service policies
• Track CSA/SMS metrics and implement corrective action plans to prevent violations
• Investigate incidents, coach drivers, and provide ongoing safety training
• Develop a proactive driver talent pipeline to support fleet growth and reduce vacancies
• Serve as the primary internal resource for compliance inquiries across the organization

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in driver recruiting, fleet safety management, or a combination of both within the trucking industry
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
• Experience with recruiting platforms such as Tenstreet, DriverReach, and Indeed, plus familiarity with ELD/telematics systems
• Excellent relationship-building skills with drivers and leadership
• Highly organized and self-directed, able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
• CDS or NATMI certification is a plus; CDL-A is a plus
