Recruiting Director

The Recruiting Director will oversee Gypsum Express recruitment operations in Ghent, KY onsite, managing resources and recruiter performance while coordinating with terminals, drivers, and partner driving schools.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain cross-functional relationships across the team to support recruitment goals.
• Partner with the Driver Retention Manager to recruit, retain, and onboard new hires.
• Maintain regular communication with terminals to connect with terminal managers, driver managers, regional leaders, and drivers.
• Assess current hiring practices for experienced and student drivers and implement improvements to the process.
• Track industry recruiting trends and competitor offerings to keep Gypsum Express competitive for prospective drivers.
• Identify effective advertising channels, review promotional materials, and optimize outreach to targeted candidate pools.
• Approve advertising expenses by coding invoices, forwarding to Accounts Payable, and securing final approvals from management.
• Monitor recruiter leads weekly and enforce accountability for results.
• Review quarterly recruiter hire-to-terminal ratios and adjust goals as needed.
• Learn and train teams on the Tenstreet application system to ensure proficiency.

Requirements

• CDL-A driver recruiting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
• Comfortable operating in a Windows environment and using internet-based business tools.
• Able to learn new software to meet job requirements.
• Fundamental understanding of DOT/FMCSA/OSHA rules and regulations relevant to the role.
• Proficient with hiring laws and processes.
