Recruiting and Saftey Manager

The Recruiting and Safety Manager position at Dairyland Transportation oversees driver recruitment and safety compliance, operating onsite in Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end driver recruitment, from sourcing and screening through onboarding and orientation.
• Ensure DOT and FMCSA compliance across driver records, drug and alcohol programs, and hours-of-service policies.
• Monitor CSA and SMS performance and drive corrective action plans to prevent violations.
• Investigate incidents, coach drivers, and deliver ongoing safety training.
• Develop a proactive driver pipeline to support fleet growth and minimize open positions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in driver recruiting and/or fleet safety management within the trucking industry.
• Solid knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations; acts as the primary compliance resource.
• Strong relationship builder who earns the trust of drivers and leadership alike.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities in a small-company environment.
• Experience with recruiting platforms such as Tenstreet, DriverReach, and Indeed, plus familiarity with ELD and telematics systems.
• CDS or NATMI certification is a plus; CDL-A is a plus.
