Job Description

The Recruiter at Chesley Brown International leads full cycle talent acquisition to support staffing for security personnel, support staff, and leadership roles. This onsite position in Smyrna, GA maintains active candidate pipelines, ensures licensing and background checks compliance, and collaborates with Security Directors to meet staffing goals and drive company growth.

Compensation

USD 22 - 24 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, from posting and sourcing to screening, interviewing, background processing, and onboarding.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust pipelines for armed and unarmed security officers, supervisors, and leadership roles.
  • Design and implement sourcing strategies tailored to the security industry.
  • Verify candidates satisfy licensing, credential verification, background checks, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Record new hires in the HRIS promptly after offers are accepted to maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to complete benefits enrollment, payroll setup, and other post-hire steps.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and cross-department communication to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Work with Security Directors, HR Generalists, and operations leaders to forecast staffing needs and align recruiting priorities.
  • Represent the company at hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.
  • Maintain relationships with external agencies, workforce development partners, and referral networks.
  • Monitor key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and pipeline activity.
  • Partner with leadership to assess turnover trends and develop retention strategies.
  • Recommend data-driven process improvements to boost recruiting efficiency.
  • Suggest candidates for hire based on qualifications, licensing, and compliance standards.
  • Choose sourcing strategies and identify suitable talent pools.
  • Extend conditional job offers within approved parameters and compensation bands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2-5 years of recruiting experience, ideally in security, service industries, or high-volume operations.
  • Knowledge of licensing, credentials, and compliance requirements for security officers is a plus.
  • Experience using ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, talent pipelines, and employment branding.
  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; analytics experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical hiring practices.

Work Schedule

Standard business hours with flexibility required during peak hiring periods.
