Job Description

Strom Aviation is seeking an onsite Recruiter in Waconia, MN to identify, screen, and place aviation professionals in contract roles, managing the contractor placement lifecycle from recruiting through assignment completion.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a network of aviation technicians and industry contacts to source candidates for placement.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and utilize company tools to design and refine sourcing strategies for qualified candidates.
  • Screen and interview candidates to evaluate skills, qualifications, personality, and alignment with client role requirements and culture.
  • Partner with the team to understand client staffing needs, culture, and the ideal candidate profile, and filter out non fits.
  • Lead the process of recommending top candidates to Account Managers or clients, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market and compensation research to negotiate pay and terms with candidates within client and company guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing HR support for contractors at client sites, including performance reviews, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Address performance issues proactively and implement corrective actions based on client feedback, including reassignment or termination when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contractors regarding placement satisfaction, grievances, pay adjustments, and other terms, while offering career guidance as applicable.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop recruitment strategies that meet evolving client needs.
  • Gather and share detailed feedback to refine future recommendations and placements.
  • Cultivate and nurture client contacts within the recruiting network to keep the company top of mind for contractor needs.

Requirements

  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make decisions within scope, and take action with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools and social media strategies.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Solid organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with internet tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work in an office setting.
