Job Description

Based in Fairfax, Virginia, Inova Health System offers a hybrid Physician and APP Recruiter role that blends strategic talent sourcing with hands-on recruitment for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. This position focuses on building robust candidate pipelines, advising leaders on workforce needs, and delivering a smooth candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement forward‑thinking recruitment plans to attract physicians and APPs.
  • Identify and engage candidates across multiple channels, including professional networks, conferences, residency programs, social media, and referrals.
  • Maintain a dynamic pipeline of qualified candidates to meet current openings and anticipate future needs.
  • Ensure a superior candidate experience by serving as the primary point of contact through every stage of the process.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, site visits, facility tours, and candidate events, including after-hours recruitment activities.
  • Collaborate with hiring leaders to assess staffing needs, develop recruitment plans, and share market insights and hiring guidance.
  • Provide regular updates to leaders on recruiting progress, metrics, and candidate feedback through reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain compliance with recruitment policies, applicable employment regulations, and ATS processes.
  • Track recruitment metrics and leverage data to continuously improve sourcing and selection outcomes.
  • Cultivate relationships with physicians, APPs, residency programs, universities, and professional associations to strengthen the talent pipeline and employer brand.
  • Represent Inova at recruitment events, conferences, and career fairs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities to enhance recruitment processes and the candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in physician, executive, or healthcare recruitment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience substituting for up to four years.
  • At least three years of experience recruiting providers, physicians, or APPs.
  • Experience in high‑volume recruitment environments.
