Junior Recruiter
Job Description
Join Families Together of Orange County as a Junior Recruiter in an on-site recruiting role under the direction of the HR Manager.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to draft, update, and improve job descriptions so they reflect organizational needs and role expectations.
- Post and promote open roles on the careers page, relevant job boards, professional networks (such as LinkedIn), and social media.
- Source and engage candidates through online channels, including job boards, professional networks, college career platforms, portfolio sites, and employee referrals.
- Develop new and creative sourcing strategies to grow candidate pipelines and support underrepresented talent pools.
- Screen resumes and applications, qualify candidates, and build interview shortlists while maintaining timely, professional candidate communication.
- Perform initial screenings via phone, video, or in-person and coordinate subsequent interview rounds with hiring teams.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records in the position control system and ensure required internal and external documentation is completed.
- Assess candidates’ qualifications and cultural fit in alignment with the organization’s values and mission statement.
- Communicate clearly and promptly throughout the hiring process, including status updates, answers to questions, and expectation setting.
- Provide structured candidate feedback when appropriate, in coordination with hiring managers.
- Support onboarding coordination through the proper notification process.
- Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and university career events to promote the employer brand and build pipelines.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to monitor recruitment metrics, track open requisitions, and prepare assigned status updates and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all candidate interactions and data handling.
- Stay current on hiring trends, labor markets, and recruiting best practices.
- Complete additional recruitment-related tasks and projects as assigned by HR leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HR certificate preferred, ideally in a related field.
- 1-2 years of human resources experience as a Talent Coordinator, Junior Recruiter, HR assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar role with exposure to recruiting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
- Experience with ATS system Paylocity preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Work Schedule
- On-site role (in-person organization); employees are expected to be on-site for scheduled shifts.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Holidays and weekends may be required based on departmental needs related to organizational, staffing, community, and patient requirements as the organization grows.
- Overtime may occur based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.
