Job Description

Kenan Advantage Group is hiring an on-site Driver Recruiter to support recruiting for a designated region from the North Canton, Ohio office. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting from initial outreach through candidate handoff, while building relationships with drivers and Owner-Operators and partnering with terminal leaders to help keep hiring moving smoothly.

Working closely with hiring managers and internal teams, you will also lead targeted recruitment efforts and help maintain a strong candidate experience. The position includes regular review of applications in the applicant tracking system and planning for driver recruiting hiring events across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle (lead to hire) driver recruitment for an assigned region.
  • Create and execute targeted recruiting activities, including outreach via call, email, and text blitzes and other assigned methods.
  • Monitor and review safety-sensitive candidate applications in the applicant tracking system.
  • Screen prospective drivers for hire qualifications and coordinate with hiring managers to schedule interviews.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and the compliance team to support an effective, seamless onboarding process for successful candidates.
  • Provide strong customer service in candidate communications, partnering with team members and field management while sharing recruiting tools and various recruiting data.
  • Join and contribute to weekly and monthly performance and prioritization calls with assigned business leaders.
  • Plan and lead driver recruiting hiring events across the assigned region and business unit.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay current on near-term and future hiring and business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience preferred; transportation recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Consideration for highly motivated, results-oriented candidates with a proven track record in fast-paced, customer-focused or performance-driven roles.
  • Strong phone presence and communication skills, with substantial outbound calling and candidate engagement expected.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time and resources effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel could be required occasionally for special events.

  • On-site role based in the North Canton, Ohio office.
  • Relocation will be considered.
