Contract Driver Field Recruiter

Trans 99 Logistics USA is seeking an independent contractor Contract Driver Field Recruiter for Metro Detroit to source and pre-qualify CDL-A driver candidates across the Michigan transportation market. The role is relationship-based and performance-based, supported by a structured recruiting platform and fast candidate processing.

Role Overview

In this contract position, you will build a local recruiting presence and develop a referral pipeline for company solo CDL-A drivers, company team CDL-A drivers, and owner-operators. Trans 99 Logistics USA emphasizes drivers’ weekly home time and consistent miles, supported by modern Volvo VNL 760 and 860 equipment and established freight lanes.

Responsibilities

• Establish a recruiting presence throughout Metro Detroit and the surrounding Michigan transportation market.
• Build relationships with CDL-A solo drivers, teams, and owner-operators.
• Recruit through multiple channels, including driver referrals, truck stops, industry contacts, social media, community relationships, events, local signage, and other creative outreach.
• Develop relationships within Detroit’s automotive and transportation community.
• Prospect independently and create a pipeline of qualified drivers.
• Clearly communicate the Trans 99 driver opportunity to prospective candidates.
• Pre-qualify prospective drivers and maintain engagement through the recruiting process.
• Move candidates through personalized Double Nickel links and QR codes.
• Maintain consistent contact with drivers from initial outreach through hiring.
• Coordinate with the Recruiting Manager and a dedicated processor to help qualified applicants get hired quickly.
• Build a long-term referral network to generate additional candidates over time.
• Represent Trans 99 professionally within the Detroit trucking community.
• Develop new recruiting ideas and channels specific to the Michigan market.

Driver Offer Details

• Approximately 3,200 miles per week on average for solo drivers
• 7,000+ miles per week on average for teams
• Weekly home time
• Late-model 2025–2027 Volvo VNL 760 and 860 equipment

Compensation

This is a performance-based independent contractor opportunity. You can earn up to $1,600 for each successfully recruited driver:

• $800 at first dispatch
• $800 when the driver reaches 30 days with Trans 99

Examples of placement payouts include:

• 1 successful placement: $1,600
• 5 successful placements: $8,000
• 10 successful placements: $16,000

There is no artificial ceiling on what a productive recruiter can generate. Pay range is $4,000.00 to $16,000.00 per month.
