CDL Driver Recruiter

Vista Trans is expanding its driver team in Huntley, IL and is hiring a Driver Recruiter to help source and hire qualified CDL drivers. This role is onsite and fast-paced, with a clear focus on recruiting, screening, and coordinating the hiring process while staying in compliance with DOT regulations.

What you’ll do

• Actively source qualified CDL drivers through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry platforms
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of driver candidates
• Post and manage job listings to attract top talent
• Review applications to assess qualifications, experience, and endorsements
• Conduct phone screenings and pre-qualify candidates
• Verify CDL licenses, driving records, and required credentials
• Partner with dispatch and operations to understand hiring needs
• Schedule interviews and coordinate next steps in the hiring process
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with DOT regulations and company standards
• Maintain accurate records of candidates, hiring activity, and driver documentation

What you bring

• 1+ year of experience
• Previous recruiting experience, with trucking or logistics preferred
• Knowledge of CDL requirements and DOT regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to evaluate candidates and make sound hiring recommendations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms
• Experience using social media and online sourcing tools
• Ability to reliably commute to Huntley, IL on a Monday-to-Friday schedule

Compensation and location

Location: In person, Huntley, IL

Pay: $50,000 - $90,000 per year
