Technical Recruiter, Applied Cyber & Security
Job Description
Doppel is hiring a Technical Recruiter, Applied Cyber & Security to lead full-cycle recruiting for its Applied Cyber and Security organizations. This role is AI-first, combining hiring partnership with hands-on building of AI-powered recruiting workflows to improve sourcing, evaluation, and candidate progress. While you will own the core Applied Cyber and Security searches, you will also flex across other technical recruiting needs based on Doppel’s hiring priorities and recruiting capacity.
What you’ll own
- Full-cycle recruiting for Applied Cyber and Security, including sourcing, screening, interview management, offer strategy, and closing.
- Specialized cybersecurity hiring across security engineering, product security, applied cyber, threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, security research, and other emerging security functions.
- Ad hoc recruiting support for other teams and roles as company priorities and team capacity evolve.
- Partner with hiring leaders to define profiles, calibrate hiring bars, develop sourcing strategies, and drive searches from kickoff through close.
- Build credibility with technical candidates by developing a strong understanding of Doppel’s product, security landscape, and technical challenges.
- Create targeted outbound strategies to reach talent from security companies, research organizations, technology companies, government, consulting, and other relevant pools.
- Use AI across the recruiting lifecycle for sourcing, research, candidate evaluation, outreach, pipeline management, interview preparation, reporting, and closing.
- Build and iterate AI-powered workflows and automations, rather than relying on off-the-shelf recruiting processes.
- Automate repetitive recruiting work end-to-end so the team can spend more time on judgment, relationships, and closing.
- Experiment and scale by testing new AI tools, agents, and workflows, measuring effectiveness, and scaling what works.
- Maintain pipeline health by proactively identifying gaps, bottlenecks, and risks before they impact hiring goals.
- Use recruiting data to evaluate funnel performance, diagnose issues, and adjust strategy.
- Deliver a strong candidate experience while moving candidates through the process with urgency.
- Contribute to recruiting infrastructure by helping build scalable processes and talent intelligence as Doppel grows.
What you bring
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within high-growth technology companies.
- Technical recruiting experience, with meaningful exposure to cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure, or other specialized technical domains.
- Strong outbound sourcing capability and experience building pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles.
- AI-native approach, using AI in day-to-day recruiting and seeking opportunities to replace repetitive manual steps with improved automated workflows.
- Builder mindset, comfortable experimenting with AI tools, agents, automations, and new workflows.
- Domain agility, able to learn new technical and functional domains quickly and flex across searches as needs change.
- Technical depth to distinguish adjacent skill sets and communicate credibly with candidates and hiring managers.
- Hiring manager partnership skills to convert ambiguous needs into clear profiles and recruiting strategies.
- Independence and accountability for recruiting outcomes rather than execution of a predefined process.
- Judgment on candidate quality aligned with a high technical hiring bar.
- Data-oriented decision making, using funnel metrics and market information to guide strategy.
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Comfort in fast-moving environments where priorities, tools, and hiring needs evolve quickly.
How success is measured
- Trusted recruiting partner for Applied Cyber and Security, while staying flexible across the broader organization.
- Hiring managers depend on you not only to deliver candidates, but also to understand their teams, challenge assumptions, provide market intelligence, and develop strategies to hire the right people.
- Operating as an AI-native recruiter by continuously identifying automatable work, building or improving workflows, and increasing both the amount and quality of recruiting output.
- Over time, key parts of recruiting (such as sourcing, candidate research, pipeline management, and reporting) become increasingly automated, while your time shifts toward human judgment and relationship-driven closing.
- Consistent hiring of exceptional talent alongside a recruiting system that becomes more intelligent, automated, and scalable as Doppel grows.
