Technical Recruiter
Job Description
The Technical Recruiter role at SpaceX supports Starbase operations in Brownsville, Texas. This onsite, full-desk position encompasses sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for mission-critical roles, collaborating closely with client groups, and guiding the candidate experience from outreach through offer.
Responsibilities
- Partner with client groups to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and interview feedback, acting as a collaborative advisor rather than a simple requester.
- Screen applicants who apply to requisitions, leveraging SpaceX’s growing employer brand to attract strong candidates.
- Source candidates, including passive and non-active talent pools, to build a robust candidate slate.
- Review screened candidates with client groups and recommend top candidates for interviews based on fit and potential value.
- Provide candidate tours prior to onsite visits to enhance the interview experience and alignment.
- Attend interviews with client groups to offer additional perspective in evaluating candidate qualifications.
- Lead the offer process for approved hires, including initiating background checks, negotiating offer packages, and extending offer letters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or an associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional recruiting experience in lieu of a degree.

- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience
- Experience with in-house recruiting
- Experience with high volume recruiting
- Experience recruiting electrical, mechanical, and aerospace engineers
- Experience recruiting skilled labor
- Strong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting roles
- Full life cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing to closing
- Comfort reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on recruiting data
- Ability to distinguish between the top 50 percent and the top 5 percent of talent within their field
- Demonstrated expertise in non-standard recruiting methods, including cold outreach, networking events, and targeted sourcing campaigns
- Comfort interfacing directly with hiring managers including director and VP level technical leaders
- Ability to build strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidates
- Ability to present candidates accurately without overselling and to influence decisions as a talent expert while respecting client autonomy
- Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direction while remaining a collaborative team member
Additional Requirements
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- This position is based in Starbase, TX (Brownsville area) and requires full-time onsite presence; hybrid and remote work will not be considered
