Talent Acquisition Partner
Job Description
San Antonio Spurs Sports & Entertainment is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner (Contract) for a 3–6 month onsite assignment in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, from intake through accepted offer.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to capture business needs, define role requirements, and shape recruiting strategies.
- Review and refine job descriptions to ensure they reflect business needs and support strong candidate attraction.
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates using structured and equitable selection practices.
- Coordinate interview schedules and partner with hiring teams to support timely, informed decisions.
- Prepare, extend, and negotiate employment offers in partnership with HR leadership.
- Initiate background screenings and work with HR Operations to support a smooth pre-employment and onboarding experience.
- Partner with external search firms or staffing agencies when appropriate, supporting strong vendor performance.
- Build proactive sourcing strategies to identify active and passive candidates.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for both current and future hiring needs.
- Use networking, referrals, professional associations, social media, and other recruiting channels to identify top talent.
- Maintain relationships with prospective candidates to strengthen long-term recruiting outcomes.
- Provide hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and TA colleagues with ongoing support and partnership.
- Share market insights, recruiting updates, and recommendations throughout the hiring process.
- Deliver a positive, transparent, and engaging candidate and hiring-team experience.
- Conduct regular follow-up with business leaders to review recruiting effectiveness and refine strategies.
- Act as an ambassador for SS&E by communicating culture, values, and employee experience.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, community events, and industry associations to strengthen employment branding.
- Support positioning SS&E as an employer of choice in the San Antonio community and sports and entertainment industry.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting data in the applicant tracking system.
- Ensure recruiting activities follow applicable employment laws, company policies, and hiring best practices.
- Use recruiting technology and reporting tools to improve efficiency and support data-informed decisions.
- Support Talent Acquisition initiatives and special projects as business needs evolve during the assignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably across multiple business functions.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions and stakeholders in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- High-volume recruiting experience and/or experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or live events (plus).
- Strong sourcing capability, including identifying active and passive talent.
- Proven relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills with credibility across all organizational levels.
- Sound judgment and professionalism handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team.
- Ability to work onsite in San Antonio four days per week for the duration of the assignment.
