Senior Associate, recruiter

Capital One is hiring a Senior Associate to support its Recruiting and Talent Acquisition team in McLean, VA. In this onsite role, you will help drive full lifecycle recruiting while partnering closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to strengthen how candidates are sourced, evaluated, and advanced through the process.

You will use recruiting data to keep leadership and HR partners informed, shape sourcing approaches to attract diverse talent, and collaborate across a team of recruiters to support a consistent, positive recruiting experience.

What you’ll do

• Partner with hiring managers, business and organization leads, and key stakeholders to understand specific talent needs.
• Own full lifecycle recruiting and hiring deliverables, including creating position descriptions, sourcing diverse candidate pipelines, marketing Capital One’s talent brand, screening candidates, advising business partners on the recruiting process, and negotiating job offers.
• Develop and execute sourcing plans that identify and recruit top talent, managing candidate development from identification and engagement through offer extension and closing.
• Work cross-functionally with a team of recruiters, supporting a culture focused on inspiration, empowerment, and inclusion.
• Leverage recruiting data to provide proactive status updates and report hiring results to leadership and HR partners.
• Go beyond direct applications by using search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other sourcing techniques to find strong candidates.

What you bring

• At least 2 years of experience in recruiting, or 2 years in human resources, or 2 years of client consulting experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• PHR certification (Professional Human Resources).
• 3+ years of experience in Corporate Recruiting, including full life cycle, research, and sourcing.
• 3+ years consulting with multiple hiring managers at once, building and maintaining strong working relationships with those managers and their teams.
• Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use innovative approaches to attract and recruit diverse talent.
• Experience with compensation and general HR requirements related to hiring.

Compensation and benefits

Salary range: USD 96,500 - 110,100 per year (McLean, VA, onsite).
