Job Description
Central Virginia Community College offers a full-time, on-site Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Analyst role in Lynchburg, VA with a salary range of $59,000 to $65,000 per year. This position guides the employment process, ensures compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS and DHRM policies, and supports recruitment across classified, administrative, faculty, wage, and student positions. The role handles job advertisements, screening activities, and training on various HR topics.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the full employment process for classified, administrative, and professional faculty, teaching faculty, wage, and student openings.
- Creates clear, accessible job advertisements aligned with VCCS and DHRM policies.
- Builds and sustains productive relationships with college managers and supervisors to streamline the hiring workflow.
- Assembles applicant pools and forwards them to the appropriate committee within established timelines.
- Maintains open communication with managers to facilitate efficient screening processes.
- Advises on challenging recruitment matters and resolves them promptly.
- Interprets EEO guidelines and provides guidance on fair employment practices.
- Trains supervisors on interview procedures as needed.
- Acts as the liaison for the V3 Virginia Values Veterans program.
- Serves as a Virginia Learning Center administrator.
- Conducts training sessions on a range of HR topics.
Requirements
- Significant experience and education in human resources, business administration, communications, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Excel is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of human resource management principles, including employment practices, recruitment and selection, classification, compensation analysis, record retention and file maintenance, and customer service.
- Proven ability to develop and interpret policies, analyze data and present conclusions, and review documentation for policy compliance.
- Ability to independently guide staff at all levels on assigned HR areas, manage multiple tasks, and exercise sound judgment to resolve workplace issues.
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and SHRM/HRCI certification.
