Recruiting Coordinator
Job Description
Graybar Electric Company, Inc. invites a Recruiting Coordinator to join our Chesterfield, MO team with hybrid work options. This role supports the full recruiting lifecycle from posting to onboarding, prioritizing compliant processes and efficient administration. What you will do
- After an employment offer is accepted, connect with the hiring manager and candidate to outline the pre-employment steps.
- Coordinate pre-employment drug tests, background checks, and other pre-hire processes.
- Initiate onboarding set-up for new hires.
- Follow up on I-9 and other compliance documents; ensure required steps are completed by new hires and managers.
- Ensure workflows and approvals are completed for new hires.
- Provide reporting and general administrative support for the recruiting function.
- May assist recruiting staff with screening and sourcing candidates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative, HR, talent acquisition, or related field.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years' experience in HR or talent acquisition preferred.
- Four-year degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS, with Workday preferred; familiarity with recruiting processes and post-employment policies.
- Knowledge of I-9 compliance and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Customer service orientation, plus organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines; adaptable and flexible.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Shift and hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Compensation details
The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Working conditions
Office environment. This position may move to a hybrid work schedule after training is successfully completed.
