Experienced Carrier Recruiter
Job Description
RAS Logistics is hiring an Experienced Carrier Recruiter based in South Carolina to support its logistics network by sourcing, qualifying, and onboarding qualified trucking carriers. This is an independently driven role that requires field recruiting and on-the-road coordination, with an estimated 50% to 75% travel schedule.
Role Overview
The Carrier Recruiter will build and maintain a dependable carrier pipeline, manage onboarding documentation collection and verification, and coordinate recruiting progress with operations. The position includes ongoing communication throughout the onboarding process and tracking each carrier’s status from qualification through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
- Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable carriers
- Conduct initial carrier qualification and screening
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including Certificate of Insurance (COI)
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including W-9
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including MC Authority
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including DOT Number
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including Operating Authority
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including Safety Rating (FMCSA)
- Verify insurance requirements and coverage limits
- Ensure carriers meet compliance standards and company requirements
- Maintain communication throughout the onboarding process
- Coordinate with operations teams
- Track recruiting progress and onboarding status
Required Qualifications
- Previous carrier recruiting experience
- Knowledge of the carrier onboarding process
- Understanding of insurance requirements, including COI
- Familiarity with FMCSA compliance
- Ability to support authority verification
- Field recruiting experience
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven approach
- Open to travel 50% to 75%
- Existing network of carriers preferred
Preferred Experience
- Experience recruiting Cargo Van carriers, Flatbed carriers, and Box truck carriers
- Knowledge of load boards
- ATS experience
- Consistent onboarding of qualified carriers
- Ability to maintain a reliable and compliant carrier pool
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Experience building long-term carrier relationships
Location and Travel
- Location: South Carolina (onsite)
- Work mode: On the road
- Travel: 50% to 75%
Compensation
USD 95,000 - 100,000 per year.
