Driver Recruiter
Job Description
Join Kenan Advantage Group as an on-site Driver Recruiter in North Canton, Ohio. This role handles full-cycle recruitment for drivers and Owner-Operators in a designated region, working closely with terminal managers to fill open positions in a fast-paced operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the driver recruitment process from initial sourcing to final hire for a defined region.
- Design and execute targeted recruitment activities for the assigned area, including calls, emails, and text outreach.
- Regularly review safety-sensitive candidate applications in the applicant tracking system.
- Screen prospective drivers to verify qualifications and coordinate interviews with the hiring manager.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and the compliance team to ensure smooth onboarding for successful candidates.
- Provide strong customer service in candidate communications and support, sharing recruitment data and tools with team members and field management.
- Participate in weekly and monthly performance and prioritization discussions with business leaders.
- Plan and lead driver recruiting events across the region and business unit.
- Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay aligned with current and future hiring needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; a degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of recruiting experience, with transportation recruiting experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort with high-volume phone outreach and strong verbal communication.
- Ability to multitask and manage time and resources effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 15 percent to various Kenan Advantage Group locations.
