Director of Talent Acquisition
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executives and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into comprehensive talent acquisition programs.
- Design and implement innovative sourcing approaches to build robust candidate pipelines.
- Oversee end-to-end recruiting processes with a data-driven approach, covering sourcing, screening, selection and negotiation.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure a superior candidate and hiring manager experience while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to ensure smooth hiring and onboarding transitions.
- Manage relationships between talent acquisition and all business groups.
- Lead recruitment marketing initiatives to strengthen Mortenson’s employer brand and external talent presence.
- Advise leaders on offer strategy and negotiations as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to develop compelling recruiting materials.
- Set, communicate, and benchmark talent acquisition performance metrics.
- Foster relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
- Coach, develop, and mentor members of the talent acquisition team.
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy to create process efficiencies.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- At least ten years of recruiting or HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven success in leading and developing teams of HR professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and execute organizational strategy.
- Strong influencing skills across diverse business units and functions.
- Effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Customer-focused mindset and a positive, professional attitude.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of talent acquisition best practices.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
