Talent Acquisition Specialist

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting activity and manage contracts for the Cooley District. In this onsite role in New Hartford, NY, you will own an individual candidate pipeline focused on sourcing, recruiting, and selecting for the Financial Advisor Internship, while building relationships that generate referrals and future leadership.

You will help strengthen recruiting outcomes by developing referral and lead sources, coordinating outreach and marketing efforts, and supporting the selection process from initial screening through interview scheduling. The position also includes partnering with leadership to align recruiting goals and maintaining accurate candidate records using home office-supported software.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and develop referral sources with financial advisors and staff team members to generate lead opportunities for internship and full-time candidates.
• Develop lead strategies using multiple channels, including referrals, community leaders, advertising, career fairs, and social media.
• Participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual.
• Build and develop centers of influence through community relationships and engagement, including community organizations and board of directors.
• Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies, including ads, direct mail, and community events.
• Screen candidates and schedule initial interviews.
• Partner with the leadership team to understand recruiting goals and required activity commitment.
• Use home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and keep prospects records accurate for an efficient selection process.
• Assist with coordination of leadership team meetings and the preparation of activity/results reports.

• Base Salary
• Bonus per contract
• Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
