TMC Transportation is seeking a full-time Driver Recruiter based in Des Moines, IA to support the full driver hiring cycle. This role focuses on identifying qualified applicants, conducting early screening, coordinating key checks, and moving candidates toward the next steps of the process.

Primary Function

The primary function of a Driver Recruiter is to research, recruit, interview, screen, and refer candidates to perform the essential qualifications of a prospective driver.

Responsibilities

Initiate contact with possible qualified candidates
Review applications and conduct telephone interviews to gather work history, education, training, and job skills while providing information about the organization and the position
Assist in performing reference and background checks on applicants
Provide information on company facilities and available job opportunities to potential applicants
Develop and maintain positive relationships with candidates
Arrange travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants

Requirements

2 OR 4 year degree preferably in Transportation or Human Resource, or equivalent work experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to candidates at all levels
Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong listening abilities
Courtious yet assertive telephone presence
Fluency in Microsoft Office
Previous experience in Driver Recruiting and experience with Tenstreet ATS is a plus

This position is onsite in Des Moines, IA. Salary is USD 42,000 per year (USD 42,000 - 42,000).
