Job Description

On-site Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter role in Charlotte, NC, offering USD 38 - 43 per hour.

Responsibilities

Source, screen, and conduct initial interviews with potential candidates.
Coordinate on-site interviews with the appropriate hiring manager to select candidates for project-specific requirements and extend contingent offers in compliance with federal and state laws.
Oversee assigned employment requisitions, including review, edits, and final approval of completed requisitions.
Track and report staffing plan data using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases.
Assist in building and managing Employment Staffing Plans by entering information related to employment and hiring needs.
Develop and update job descriptions to reflect project scope and work requirements.
Coordinate and conduct redeployment initiatives with proactive communication to employees before anticipated end dates.
Handle operational and administrative components of the hire process, including background checks, drug screening, health screening, I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, and site-specific requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for portions of the employment process for internal partners at the job site, leading segments of recruiting efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with recent focus on hiring engineering professionals within the nuclear power industry.
Direct experience recruiting for I&C, electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering, emphasizing plant modifications, design engineering, and system upgrades.
Proven ability to evaluate candidates against nuclear-specific requirements, including experience supporting design packages, field walkdowns, system ownership, and familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear plant operations.
Experience recruiting for digital controls, legacy system upgrades, and instrumentation/control systems is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting project-based hiring where schedules, mobilization dates, site needs, and technical depth are critical.
Ability to work independently as the sole engineering recruiter supporting business leaders and hiring managers.
Strong sourcing experience with success identifying and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels.
High sense of urgency, with robust follow-up, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn ATS systems.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors in person or by phone and route inquiries to the appropriate party
Assist in developing and updating job descriptions and specifications for job orders and postings
Source and recruit candidates through internal software, databases, social media, job boards, job fairs, referrals, and other channels
Screen resumes and applications, scheduling interviews as appropriate
Conduct interviews using the YES Certified Staffing Process and related selection tools
Assess qualifications by interviewing applicants, verifying references, and comparing credentials to job requirements
Evaluate candidates based on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and aptitudes
Collaborate with managers and clients to compare job requirements with applicant qualifications
Fill open positions efficiently and extend employment offers to qualified candidates
Complete new hire paperwork and pre-screenings, including E-Verify, background checks, drug screens, and skills testing
Onboard new employees to ensure smooth integration with YES and the client company
Maintain regular communication with client representatives as the primary point of contact and build strong relationships
Address placement dissatisfactions by removing the employee and onboarding a quality replacement
Monitor HR recruiting regulations and best practices
Promote the company as a premier place to work by requesting reviews and employee referrals
Actively recruit through inbound calls, mass texts to candidate pools, and assistance to active candidates
Support recruiting and placement efforts by sharing job details, requirements, interview schedules, onboarding steps, and start dates
Advocate for both new hires and established employees
Maintain proper documentation and information storage procedures
Attend to other duties as assigned

Requirements

1-3 years of recruiting or equivalent customer service experience
Positive, outgoing, can-do attitude
Coachable and eager to learn
Team-player mentality
Close attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Bilingual in Spanish is a must
