Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter
Job Description
SEK-CAP, Inc. is seeking a Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter to deliver home-based education and support recruitment for Early Head Start and Head Start.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly home visits to support parents with developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Assist families with goal-setting and progress toward self-sufficiency
- Recruit eligible families for Early Head Start and Head Start programs
- Complete applications and verify eligibility documentation
- Maintain child assessments and family progress records in agency systems
- Collaborate with community partners to connect families with resources
- Plan and facilitate group socializations and parent engagement activities
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood (or related field) preferred
- CDA credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to obtain Home Visitation Training within the first year
- CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines
Location & Schedule
- Onsite role in Girard, KS
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Travel between locations using an agency-provided vehicle
Compensation
- USD 16–19 per hour

Key Qualifications (What you need to bring)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field (preferred)
