Recruiter (HR)

Assistance Plus offers an onsite recruiter role in Benton, ME with a competitive hourly rate and a culture centered on people, collaboration, and reliable HR support. This position pays $25-$27 per hour and focuses on recruitment and onboarding across the employee lifecycle. Expect a regular daytime schedule with Monday through Friday hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and the opportunity to contribute to wellness and recognition initiatives within a supportive team environment.

The Recruiter (HR) will support recruitment and onboarding as part of the broader HR processes, handling day-to-day tasks to deliver excellent service to all employees. You will assess and anticipate HR-related needs, communicate proactively with supervisors, and build partnerships with individual managers to deliver value-added service aligned with Assistance Plus's mission.

Responsibilities

• Support the employment life cycle and HR processes by executing daily tasks that provide exceptional service to all employees
• Assess and anticipate HR related needs
• Communicate proactively with supervisors
• Form partnerships with managers to deliver value-added HR services reflecting the company mission
• Lead recruitment efforts
• Oversee onboarding activities
• Process background checks
• Keep recruitment and onboarding materials up to date
• Assist with wellness and recognition initiatives
• Maintain a regular office schedule: five days per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of related experience in a human resources administrative capacity
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid State of Maine driver's license and automobile insurance coverage of $50k/$100k
• SHRM-CP or PHR strongly preferred
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Positive attitude with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience with full recruitment life cycle highly desired
