Recruiter

This onsite role in Downers Grove, Illinois offers a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 per year. As a Recruiter for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, you will coordinate career fairs, manage job boards, and develop sourcing pipelines to support Talent Acquisition across current and future searches. You will work closely with colleges, professional groups, hiring managers, and external partners to deliver a strong candidate experience and connect top talent with agency opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and attend community and college career fairs and events; oversee and refresh organizational job boards; collaborate with teams to create strategic sourcing connections.
• Enhance the Talent Acquisition team's ability to rapidly target, identify, source, and present top talent for ongoing and upcoming searches.
• Develop partnerships with carefully selected colleges and professional groups by engaging at events and through ongoing relationship building.
• Work with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition staff to shape recruitment and sourcing strategies for niche applicant pools.
• Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating qualification assessments.
• Maintain job board content and partnership email updates to ensure timely communication.
• Build relationships with candidates and recruiting vendors to ensure a positive recruiting experience for all parties.
• Coordinate activities with other programs, departments, and external agencies and organizations to align recruiting efforts.
• Facilitate and host seminars that showcase agency opportunities in person and virtually.
• Design and develop innovative content to raise awareness of promotional opportunities within the Toll Authority.
