Experienced Carrier Recruiter

RAS Logistics is hiring an Experienced Carrier Recruiter to strengthen its carrier network across the logistics operation. Based in Boston, MA, this role focuses on sourcing, vetting, and onboarding trucking carriers while partnering closely with internal operations. The position is designed for an independent recruiter who can manage compliance requirements, documentation, and ongoing communication through the full onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
• Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable carriers
• Complete initial carrier qualification and screening
• Collect, verify, and manage onboarding documentation, including:
  • Certificate of Insurance (COI)
  • W-9
  • MC Authority
  • DOT Number
  • Operating Authority
  • Safety Rating (FMCSA)
• Verify insurance requirements and confirm coverage limits
• Ensure carriers meet applicable compliance standards and company requirements
• Maintain communication throughout the onboarding process
• Coordinate recruiting activity with operations teams
• Track recruiting progress and monitor onboarding status

Requirements

• Prior experience in carrier recruiting
• Hands-on knowledge of the carrier onboarding process
• Familiarity with insurance requirements, including COI
• Working understanding of FMCSA compliance
• Experience verifying authority
• An existing network of carriers is preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven approach
• Field recruiting experience
• Willingness to travel 50% to 75%

Preferred Experience

• Experience recruiting cargo van carriers, flatbed carriers, and box truck carriers
• Knowledge of load boards
• ATS experience
• Track record of consistent onboarding of qualified carriers
• Ability to maintain a reliable and compliant carrier pool
• Demonstrated communication and follow-through
• Experience building long-term carrier relationships

Location & Compensation

• Location: Boston, MA (onsite)
• Salary: USD 95,000 to 100,000 per year
