HR - Full Cycle Recruiter
Job Description
Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for Union Gospel Mission of the Inland Northwest, partnering with hiring managers and supporting a Christ-centered candidate and onboarding experience.
Responsibilities
- Source candidates through multiple channels: Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens when needed to evaluate qualifications, cultural fit, and spiritual alignment.
- Conduct initial interviews and coordinate next steps with hiring managers.
- Manage the recruitment process to support timely hiring and a positive candidate experience.
- Assist with recruitment strategy development and implementation to meet staffing needs.
- Support employer branding through market research, networking, and proactive candidate engagement.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand departmental and spiritual staffing needs.
- Maintain positive candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process.
- Communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and the HR team throughout hiring.
- Coordinate reference checks when applicable.
- Coordinate the offer process in partnership with the HR Director.
- Coordinate employment background screening based on position and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Work with Intermax to set up required email and drive access; coordinate with the facilities team for keys and office and phone setup; coordinate with the Hiring Manager to prepare onboarding details.
- Order business cards and create a door nameplate when required by position.
- Coordinate and facilitate a seamless, welcoming, Christ-centered onboarding experience.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the team and Union Gospel Mission.
Requirements
- Grounded and committed Christian: able and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in serving a ministry to the poor, homeless, drug addicted, and mentally ill.
- Active member of the body of Christ in accordance with Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision, and Statement of Faith.
- Strong interpersonal skills with compassion and discernment while modeling the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- Able and willing to honor Union Gospel Mission leadership, chain of command, standards, and ministry objectives.
- Computer literate with ability to complete documents, build tables, and accurately record information; includes Word, Excel, Outlook, Web Browser, Office 365, and UKG Ready HR; willing to continue education as needed or required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to assess professional capability and spiritual maturity.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Teachable spirit; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, listen well, and make sound HR-related decisions aligned with UGM’s purpose.
- Insightful, trustworthy, honest, reliable; models appropriate boundaries; strong work ethic.
- Experience in employee relations, compensation, and benefits is preferred.
- Experience recruiting in nonprofit, ministry, or other mission-driven environments is preferred.
- Able and willing to share the Gospel and participate in Union Gospel Mission ministry activities.
- Subscribe to Union Gospel Mission Statement of Faith and Qualifications for Employment upon hire and continuously while employed.
- Adhere to the Union Gospel Mission Employee Handbook.
- This position requires a confidentiality Statement.
- Wage offered depends on experience and education.
Education / Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter (non-profit, ministry, or faith-based recruiting experience is highly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Working Conditions / Physical Factors
- Primarily indoors; sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and moving between buildings continuously

Location: Spokane, WA (onsite)
Salary: USD 18 - 26 per hourly
