Job Description
Overview
Join Sarasota County Schools as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The district seeks a dynamic, relationship oriented professional to attract, recruit, and retain top talent across our schools. In this role, you will support and advance the District's talent acquisition strategy by managing end-to-end recruitment, collaborating with hiring managers, enhancing the candidate experience, and developing workforce initiatives that strengthen pipelines to meet long-term staffing needs. This is an in-person role based in Sarasota, Florida 34231, with an hourly rate of 23.16.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, plus two years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in high volume recruitment strongly preferred.
- Experience sourcing candidates using a variety of methods (job boards, outreach, job fairs, referrals).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full cycle of recruitment from posting to preboarding, ensuring a streamlined and compliant process.
- Publish and manage job advertisements, coordinate recruitment activities, review applications, and assist with candidate screening and selection.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience through clear communication and guidance throughout the hiring journey.
- Oversee the collection, review, and processing of preboarding documents for new hires, contracted staff, and non-board appointed personnel.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Engage staffing agencies and external partners to support recruitment for hard-to-fill positions.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns, outreach efforts, and partnerships to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Coordinate field experiences, teacher internship placements, and related affiliation agreements to support a cohesive student teacher program aligned with future staffing needs.
- Oversee the district substitute functions, including daily placement oversight, reporting, payroll reconciliation, discipline recordkeeping, and ongoing daily liaison duties.
- Maintain accurate applicant and hiring data within the ATS and ensure compliance with policies and recordkeeping requirements.
