Matic is building home robotics designed to recapture lost time through real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and semantic understanding of the home. With spatial AI breakthroughs that run on-device, Matic’s products aim to work reliably in real homes while keeping privacy first. The Technical Recruiter role sits at the center of hiring the people who can deliver on these hard technical challenges.
In this onsite position in Menlo Park, CA, you will build and manage talent pipelines for technical roles, partner directly with hiring managers and founders to clarify what great looks like, and continuously improve how you identify and engage candidates who may not be actively looking.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage high-quality pipelines for technical roles across robotics, ML/AI, embedded systems, and software engineering
- Develop creative, research-driven sourcing strategies for candidates who are not actively looking
- Write outreach that is personalized, specific, and demonstrates a genuine understanding of a candidate’s background
- Partner closely with hiring managers and founders to define what “great” looks like for each role
- Maintain an accurate, sharp view of the talent landscape, including who is doing interesting work, where they are, and what may lead them to a conversation

Requirements
- You do not need a script; you can reason through hard problems, craft sourcing strategies, and adjust on the fly
- You bring intellectual rigor to sourcing in the same way a strong engineer approaches technical problems
- You are not focused on running a funnel or hitting a closing rate
- You care about matching the right people to the right roles and believe honest conversations and good judgment outperform pressure tactics
- You are mission-driven and want to work at Matic specifically
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership

Company overview
Matic’s mission is to recapture lost time by revolutionizing home robotics. The company’s Wall-E-esque floor cleaning robot uses real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and a precise semantic understanding of the home. Matic’s privacy-first design processes data performed by the robot itself, not in the cloud.
Matic’s approach reflects a progression for home robotics, starting with single-purpose robots and iterating toward more complex capabilities over time. The culture is described as tight-knit and collaborative, with a singular focus on building products customers will cherish, and a team that tackles tough problems with high effort.
