Bring your research and recruiting expertise to Google’s executive hiring process in a role based in Boulder, CO (onsite), where you’ll help identify and cultivate L8+ leadership talent. This position owns talent market research and search strategies for executive searches across technical functions, partnering closely with leadership recruiters to deliver domain and market insights for the most demanding business needs.
What you’ll do
- Develop and own search strategies, then deliver research aligned to those strategies for executive searches across technical functions such as engineering, product management, and research science.
- Provide project management to keep searches moving and support consistent experiences for hiring managers/clients, applicants, and colleagues.
- Partner with leadership recruiters to collaborate on domain and market insights and trends, advising executives on talent for critical business priorities.
- Build relationships for the future by engaging passive candidates and strengthening long-term talent pipelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through innovation in the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, services, and processes.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in research or recruiting focused on technical executive search research (at an executive search firm or in-house recruiting team).
- 1 year using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry publications, or related sources for market mapping and talent identification.
- Experience in executive recruiting, including outreach, engagement, evaluation, and presentation.
- Experience maximizing both team performance and individual performance while working as a collaborative team player.
- Experience in research science/data science or PhD/fellows hiring.
- Capability, credibility, and consultative skills to influence senior colleagues and stakeholders without formal authority.
- An open learning mindset and demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new complex subject matter and understand new markets, roles, and business initiatives.

Compensation and benefits
Annual salary: USD 111,000 - 159,000 (plus 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits).
Google’s benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) with company match, 20 days of vacation per year (accruing at 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years), and Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle), including 5 discretionary sick days per instance. Additional support includes maternity leave (short-term disability + baby bonding) for 28-30 weeks and baby bonding leave for 18 weeks, plus 13 paid holidays per year.
Location flexibility
This role is onsite in Boulder, CO and may also be located in the Playa Vista, CA campus. You’ll have the opportunity to share your preferred working location from: Chicago, IL; Ann Arbor, MI; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boulder, CO; Mountain View, CA; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Washington D.C., DC.
