Brittain Resorts & Hotels, a long-standing name in hospitality with roots dating back to the Chesterfield Inn in Myrtle Beach, is expanding its Talent Acquisition team. The on-site Recruiting Specialist will focus on interviewing hourly hospitality candidates across multiple properties while supporting the broader recruitment process. This position offers a starting rate of USD 15 per hourly and is based onsite in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Overview
We’re seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team and support hiring across multiple departments and properties. This role will primarily focus on interviewing candidates for hourly hospitality positions while also supporting other areas of the recruitment process. Working closely with other recruiting specialists and hiring managers, this position assists with sourcing, screening, onboarding support, recruiting events, and candidate engagement.
Responsibilities
- Interview candidates and perform telephone screenings to assess alignment with role requirements
- Support completion of pre-employment paperwork and coordinate start dates
- Maintain precise recruitment records in the applicant tracking system, including interview outcomes, candidate statuses, and hiring activity
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers about open roles and develop strategies to fill them
- Develop knowledge of current openings, property locations, company culture, benefits offerings, and local hiring trends to effectively promote opportunities
- Proactively source candidates through diverse channels, using innovative recruitment methods independently
- Post opportunities and source candidates via networking, job boards, associate referrals, social media, active applicants, college postings, and other venues
- Attend college, company, community, and property job fairs as needed
- Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline by reconnecting with past applicants and leveraging the Talent Pool
- Flag process deficiencies or response delays to the Talent Acquisition Manager for remediation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in recruitment, administration, management, hospitality, or human resources is highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Solid technical proficiency and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and social media platforms
- Self-driven with the ability to take initiative without prompting
- Strong critical thinker capable of independent problem-solving
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication, including professional email and phone etiquette
- Able to handle frequent task-switching and interruptions
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service to guests and team members
- Demonstrated reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- May require varying schedules to reflect hospitality business needs, including weekends and evenings on occasion; typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm
