The Area Installation Recruiting Specialist operates onsite in Norfolk, VA, coordinating talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and relationship management for flooring installers across a multi-state territory. This role supports the Lowe's partnership with travel expected to up to 75%.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment of flooring installers across a multi-state region, employing the ADVanced Insights Team tool alongside targeted sourcing methods.
- Evaluate applicant and hiring manager survey data to continuously lift recruiting efficiency and the quality of hires in the flooring installation market.
- Negotiate installer cost structures to align with local market rates and Service Pros' pricing model.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the flooring installation contractor marketplace, including competitor activity, installer availability, and regional pricing trends.
- Design and deliver structured onboarding and training programs for newly contracted installers to ensure professional representation of Service Pros and Lowe's.
- Provide sales training support to installers, equipping them with product knowledge and communication skills to strengthen customer relationships and drive satisfaction scores.
- Complete in-home flooring measurement training and perform measurements as needed, at a rate of $30.00 per measurement.
- Collaborate with the workroom team to implement retention and appreciation initiatives that reduce turnover and foster long-term loyalty.
- Conduct targeted store visits at Lowe's locations to evaluate and strengthen the installer/Lowe's relationship on behalf of the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for installers within the territory, nurturing trust and open communication across the field team.
- Utilize KPIs, data reporting, and performance metrics to monitor gross profit margins and customer experience benchmarks, taking proactive steps when trends indicate action is needed.
- Aim for consistently high customer satisfaction scores within the assigned territory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required; 3โ5 years of related experience in talent acquisition, field operations, or customer service management is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead through situational dynamics, motivating and aligning teams around shared goals and expectations.
- Experience in a large, multi-site or multi-state organization with competing priorities and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of connecting with entry-level installers, store managers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and word processing; comfortable using reporting tools and data to inform decisions.
- Solid mathematical reasoning for cost modeling, pricing analysis, and evaluating performance metrics.
- Valid driverโs license and the ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 75 percent across a multi-state territory.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds and to perform in-home measurements as needed.
